Frequently asked questions

We’ve gathered the questions clients ask most often, so you can see how Soma Dialogue helps your body relax, rediscover freedom of movement, and return to its natural balance.

THE PHILOSOPHY & METHOD

What is Soma Dialogue?+

Soma Dialogue is a multi-dimensional approach aimed at the holistic release of the body and the nervous system. It combines four powerful therapeutic paths:

  • Manual Fascia Release: Manual release of the fascia, for relief from pain and stiffness.
  • Continuum Movement & Sound: We use motion and the vibration of sound as tools to «fluidise» frozen tensions in the tissue, allowing the body to find its natural flow again.
  • Trauma-Informed Care: A trauma-respectful approach that ensures your body feels complete safety to heal.
  • Energetic Attunement: Strengthening the body’s vital flow, supporting deep relaxation and the body’s faster recovery.

It is a deep dialogue where touch, sound, and empathic presence work together for your real release.

When can it help me?+

The Soma Dialogue approach is for every body that is looking for relief and real balance. It is especially effective for:

  • Musculoskeletal issues: Chronic pain in the back, neck, lower back, or joints.
  • Visceral dysfunction & symptoms: Discomfort in the abdomen and chest, digestive disorders linked to tension, or a sense of a «knot» in the stomach.
  • Restricted movement: A sense of stiffness and «tightness» throughout the body.
  • Psychosomatic symptoms: Tension from anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, or a sense of weight pressing on the chest.
  • Recovery: After injuries or intense athletic activity.

By releasing the fascia, we help the internal organs and the musculoskeletal system to «breathe» again, releasing the trapped pressure that often translates into pain.

Is it massage?+

Not in the classic sense of relaxation. While we use touch, Soma Dialogue focuses on releasing the fascia.

Unlike traditional massage that works superficially on the muscles, here we apply targeted touch on the connective tissue surrounding our organs and muscles. It is a process of diagnosis and restoration: we find where movement has been restricted and where everyday tension has built up. We help the body release and free itself from these blocks, restoring its natural elasticity.

We don’t simply offer a moment of rest, but a real solution to the pain that persists.

What is fascia?+

It is the connective tissue that surrounds and runs through every muscle, bone, joint, nerve and organ in the body. It is a single, three-dimensional network. When it is healthy and elastic, it allows the body to move freely. When it gets stuck — from injury, poor posture, stress, or emotional load — restriction, pain, and a sense of heaviness appear.

How is it different from physiotherapy?+

Physiotherapy mainly focuses on restoring the movement and function of specific muscles and joints after injury.

At Soma Dialogue, the approach is complementary and holistic. We don’t focus only on the spot that hurts — we work hands-on across the whole fascial network to release the body’s overall tension. Our aim is to restore vitality to the connective tissue, helping the body find its own balance and freedom of movement.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST VISIT

How long is a session?+

Each session lasts about 50 to 60 minutes. The time is shaped by what your body needs in the moment. We don’t follow a strict stopwatch — we let the process complete organically within that frame.

What should I wear?+

Choose comfortable, stretchy clothes that let you move freely. The session is done with your clothes on, since our approach focuses on deep movement without using oils.

How often should I come?+

It depends on your goals and your body’s current state.

Initial cycle of sessions: Usually an initial series of 2 sessions helps the body integrate the changes and «break» old patterns of tension.

For maintenance: Many people choose one session every 1–2 months to keep their flow and balance.

You can also see our specialised packages (Deep Reset, Inner Balance, Total Transformation) for a more complete journey.

Is there a cancellation policy?+

Yes. We understand that schedules can change. We kindly ask you to let us know about any cancellations at least 24 hours in advance. This gives us the chance to offer the slot to someone else who may need it.

WHEN IT HELPS

I have chronic back pain. Can it help?+

Many people come with chronic back pain that doesn’t respond to conventional approaches. The work on the fascia looks for the root of the problem. Often, the cause of back pain is hiding in blockages in other areas. Our approach treats the body as a whole, to bring real relief.

Note: The method is complementary and does not replace medical diagnosis.

I work long hours at a desk. Is this for me?+

Yes — and it is one of the most common cases. Long immobility creates characteristic tension in three places: Neck & Shoulders (accumulated pressure), Hips (from prolonged sitting), and Diaphragm (restricted breathing from stress). Manual Fascia Release targets the release of these areas, restoring elasticity and good posture.

I feel a lot of anxiety. Can this work help?+

The fascia and the nervous system are inseparably linked. Releasing the tissue helps the body come out of its constant state of tension (fight or flight). Our clients often report improved sleep quality, reduced bodily over-arousal, and an overall sense of release. This isn’t psychotherapy, but it works on the body in a way that deeply affects the nervous system.

Does it help with visceral discomfort (stomach, digestion)?+

Yes. Tension often «locks» inside the internal organs, causing discomfort or a sense of a «knot». By working gently on the fascia surrounding the viscera, we help the system relax internally, easing symptoms linked to psychosomatic stress.

WHO IT IS — AND ISN’T — FOR

Is this work for me?+

This approach is for you if you are looking for something deeper than a simple massage to manage persistent pain and tension. It speaks to people who want to understand the messages of their body, who believe in its self-healing capacity, and who are looking for a real path toward relief and balance.

Are there cases when it isn’t appropriate?+

As with any holistic method, your safety is the priority. At our first meeting we will discuss your history. In any case, Soma Dialogue works as a complement and does not replace medical care or follow-up.
